Work Book (Week 8).

Hello Everyone. Someone mentioned last week that the Category for one of the jobs was 'Palm Record'. Its actually got nothing to do with palm trees or palm of your hand but refers to the operating system of my handheld computer. If for whatever reason I don't enter a category for a job it automatically enters it as 'Palm Record' so I hope that explains that for those who were wondering and Jeanette gets a gold star for spotting that and asking about it, those new eyes of yours are obviously working well!

Whilst I'm on the subject I will point out that the between the first brackets is the location of a particular job with in a category. In the second lot of brackets is the category, the category being different area's of the grounds of which there are Main Garden (the area closest to the house) Walled Garden (Withing the private grounds but once removed from within direct view of the house, this is where the greenhouses and potting sheds are). Public gardens (Where the residents and visitors live or have access too). Hall & Pumpend (The big house and dowager house). Glasshouses (Greenhouse and conservatory) Indoors (This covers Potting Shed work or maybe painting in the summer house or servicing the mowers in the barn). Misc (Is anything that doesn't really fall in to any of the above.

My keys were missing from their usual place, eventually had them in my CAT body warmer.

Removed snow from office steps and put down grit there and along the front passage.
08:55 - 09:15 See to the sheep ( Field ) ( Misc )
1) Took across some hay.
2) Checked and counted the sheep.
09:15 - 09:30 Lit the range ( Summer House ) ( Indoors )
With the covering of snow still with us it seems a good day to paint the final garden bench so lit the range to take the chill off the place, make the paint easier to apply and dry.
09:30 - 10:30 See to the greenhouses ( Greenhouse & Conservatory ) ( Glasshouses )
Checked and watered round.
10:30 - 10:50 Break for tea ( Home ) ( Misc )
10:50 - 12:45 Painting ( Summer House ) ( Indoors )
Painting the 4th garden seat.
12:45 - 13:30 Break for lunch ( Home ) ( Misc )
13:30 - 15:15 Removing trees ( Barn Wall Border ) ( Main Garden )
Dug out 2 of the 3 cherry trees that are being removed.
15:15 - 15:55 Painting ( Summer House ) ( Indoors )
Painting the 4th garden seat.
15:55 - 16:00 See to the greenhouses ( Greenhouse & Conservatory ) ( Glasshouses )
Check the seedlings and set the mouse trap etc.

Cleaned out the diesel filters on the tractor.

Brought back 6 hay for sheep and one straw for the strawberries.

11:05 - 12:45 Painting ( Summer House ) ( Indoors )

Trying to get the plant pots under control ready for the planitng season.

Repairing the fence in to the wood.

Richard came to cut down what was left of the cherry trees.

One of the childrens bycicles has a puncture and needed repairing also it needs a check over. When I got there the shop was closed so will need to go again tomorrow.

Pruning the roses in the memorial beds.

Devided the load between the two rose borders.

Sorted out some plant pots threw out all the odds and ends as I have an abundance.

Took up ten baskets of logs.

Planted the garlic
12:00 - 12:45 Sow the seeds ( Potting Shed ) ( Indoors )
12:45 - 13:30 Break for lunch ( Misc )
13:30 - 15:15 Bring he dahlia's out of store ( Greenhouse ) ( Glasshouses )
Put compost around the tubers and place under the greenhouse staging.
15:20 - 15:25 See to the greenhouses ( Glasshouses )
Check the seedlings and set the mouse trap etc.
15:25 - 16:00 Collect the bike ( Misc )
