Today the gardner to the big house enjoyed fresh radishes for lunch. The radish you see are called Ilka and can be bought from Marshalls Seeds. Unlike a lot of radish these keep for a good amount of time without going woody. As you can see from the picture these are quite a size yet they were still crisp and tender. Wow! I first look I thought they were beets. No radishes here yet but we have asparagus and rhubarb.
I was quite proud of mine until I saw yours, now I have radish envy :)
Gosh! those are quite a size for radishes. I love eating them so will look out for that variety!
